5 Things I Do To Stay Organized

I love cleanliness and organization. I’m not sure if it’s my perfectionist ways or my Virgo rising (if you believe in that), but staying organized and on top of things has been crucial to my entrepreneurship. Here are 5 things I like to do to stay organized:

  1. Keep things in the same spot. All my work related items are kept together in one designated area. This also goes for my beauty products, clothes, documents, etc. When you know where everything is, you don’t have to scramble looking for something. 
  2. Schedule things out on your calendar. I know I’ve mentioned this before, but I live by my Google Calendar. I also schedule out work time and what I’m doing during that work time. I even schedule leisure and self-care time! Remember to honor this time too. Once the reminder comes on, do what you’re supposed to be doing for that time. 
  3. Get additional storage. For my makeup or workout equipment, I like to keep them organized in containers or set aside neatly. Sometimes having a messy space gives me a headache and causes more stress. 
  4. Organize photos and files on your phone and laptop. We use our electronics so much. We don’t realize how much we have on our phones and laptops. Once in a while, I delete files or photos I don’t need or put them in folders so it doesn’t look so cluttered on the screen. 
  5. Throw things out. With spring fast approaching, I am eager to go over items or clothes I don’t use or wear anymore and donate them. It’s nice to periodically clean and make space for newness. Once a week I clean my entire apartment. Having a neat space makes me happy and helps me work more efficiently.
