Our bodies are made up of 60% water, but sometimes it’s challenging to get enough water in. Sometimes it’s the bland taste of water, or we honestly forget to drink it throughout the day. These are some of my favorite ways to get your water consumption up and to stay more hydrated:
Add fruit to your water – berries are my favorite to add in water.
Drink sparkling water or flavored water – LaCroix is delicious!
Change up the temperature! If you prefer cold over warm water or vice versa, go ahead! Sometimes room temperature water isn’t the most appealing.
Drink 8 oz of water upon waking up and after each meal – I find this helpful in drinking enough water and staying hydrated throughout the day.
Use a water bottle – I have a 32 oz Hydroflask I carry around all the time everywhere. It’s helped me so much with drinking water and saving tons of plastic water bottles.
Use an alarm for drinking water! Set alarms through the day as a water reminder.
Drink tea – It’s not exactly plain water, but you can still drink it to stay hydrated.
Eat fruit – Many fruits like watermelon have so much water in them! It’s a fun and sneaky way to get water in.
Staying hydrated doesn’t have to be a chore! Simply changing up the taste or setting reminders can make it easy to drink more water. Which one of these tricks will you try?
