Quick Snack Ideas

I don’t know about you, but even though we’re working from home, I still feel like I’m on the go or have so many things to do in a day. I don’t always have time to sit down and leisurely eat a meal so I’ve compiled some of my favorite go to snacks.

 

  • Sandwich – simple and easy you can go with deli meat or nut butter 

  • Bagels or english muffins

  • Rice cakes – You can also pair this up with eggs or nut butter

  • Instant oatmeal

  • Fruits – My favorites are bananas, apples, and cuties. 

  • Jerky 

  • Carrot sticks/celery sticks with hummus 

  • Eggs – They can be boiled, scrambled, etc. Plus they’re so fast to make.

  • Tuna packets

  • Protein shake or a smoothie – blend everything up and you have a drinkable meal

  • Nuts – I divide them out into portions and put them in bags when I have time, so when I’m on the go I just grab them

  • Coconut/Almond/Greek Yogurt or Cottage cheese

 

Typically I try and stick with whole and minimally processed foods. Sometimes I’ll have a granola or protein bar, but if possible I get bars with whole ingredients like Rx bars or Perfect bars. It’s important to stay fueled throughout the day. If you’re hungry, make an effort to get a quick snack in! Our bodies thrive off healthy foods so keep yourself fed and fueled!
