Hi fitness family! It’s been a while since I last updated you guys on my life. Earlier this month, I fell and landed on my right elbow and knee. Something didn’t feel quite right with my elbow, so my boyfriend took me to urgent care, where they took x-rays and said I had a small fracture. They put my arm in this brace which provided so much relief.

Luckily, I didn’t have to wear it for long. A week and a half later, I saw an orthopedist who took new x-rays, and they said they didn’t see a fracture so I don’t need to immobilize my arm anymore, yay! They think it could have been a small crack. Nonetheless, my elbow still hurts so they referred me to physical therapy and encouraged me to bend, extend, and move my arm to regain mobility. I’ve also been applying comfrey salve, CBD balm, and ice. It’s a bit sore if I use my arm too much, but I’m so glad it wasn’t a serious injury!
This was definitely a lesson for me to listen to my body. When I fell I thought I was fine, but after a few hours, I realized I couldn’t move my arm without pain. It’s good we went to urgent care to make sure it was okay. This also taught me to go with the flow and be okay with asking for help. Obviously, I had to recover a bit after that fall, so I had to cancel sessions, which I absolutely hate doing, but I needed the time to rest and figure things out with insurance. My boyfriend was also so helpful and did all the cooking and cleaning, especially since I couldn’t use my arm.
Any way, it looks like I just need to let my arm heal as well as improve its range of motion. Most of my workouts will be cardio, abs, and legs. I’ve definitely had to get creative with my workouts and my clients’ sessions. Overall, I’m glad it was a minor injury! I know with time, I’ll come back even stronger!
