Benefits Of Drinking Water

Hi there! I recommend clients to drink lots of water, and I always get asked what are the benefits so here’s a list of why you should drink water!

  1. Great for your skin
  2. Helps with digestion
  3. Prevents constipation
  4. Flushes out waste
  5. Flushes bacteria from bladder (which helps with kidney health)
  6. Lubricates joints
  7. Regulates body temperature
  8. Cushions organs and tissues
  9. Maintains blood pressure
  10. Maintains electrolye balance

The recommended daily water intake is to drink 0.5 fluid ounces per pound of your body weight. For example, if you weigh 150 lb, then you’d drink half of your body weight in fluid ounces so 75 fluid ounces. I understand sometimes it can be a bit much to track your water consumption so I usually tell people to go by the color of their urine. If it’s very dark yellow then you’re dehydrated and need more water. The goal is for a clear light yellow color.
