Cure Your Holiday Hangover

Hi guys! How’s the new year treating you?! It’s crazy to think we’re already in 2025. I know some of us are really excited and eager for this year, and some of us might be having the holiday blues or a holiday hangover. It’s overwhelming to have multiple major holidays back to back months and then resume normal lives. It’s okay to feel how you’re feeling! It’s actually very common to feel this way, which is why I’m dedicating this post to taking care of yourself and getting over your holiday hangover!

  1. Take a break – I’m more introverted so sometimes I’ll even take breaks during family gatherings to go outside or spend time alone.
  2. Drink plenty of water
  3. Get enough sleep – You can even throw in a nap here and there!
  4. Prioritize vegetables and protein
  5. Get some movement in – It can be a walk or workout.
  6. Reach out to friends and loved ones – Some of us may not be spending the holidays with family or get stressed spending the holidays with family. Hang out with people who make you feel good!
  7. Use a to do list – I love to do lists, and just by writing a few priority items to get done that day and help you stay on track with your work!
  8. Have a schedule – Scheduling your day can also help you stay on track. You can schedule work, breaks, and your workout.
  9. Get off social media – Sometimes I’ll doom scroll and get distracted or compare my holiday or how I’m feeling compared to what someone else is posting. Comparison never helps with anything!
  10. Give yourself grace – Sometimes we beat ourselves up for not feeling great or excited for the new year, and that’s 100% okay! Meet yourself where you are.
