I wish you all a very Happy Thanksgiving! This holiday only comes once a year, so remember, one indulgent meal is going to derail your progress. This day is meant for giving thanks and spending time with loved ones!
A few tips to stay healthy and happy today:
- Eat throughout the day – Starving yourself before dinner may cause you to overeat. Eat healthy balanced meals throughout the day!
- Get some movement in – Get a workout or walk before your Thanksgiving meal! You can even take a walk after dinner or have a dance party in the house. Get your family and friends to join you too!
- Eat a balanced plate – Be sure to get veggies and protein on your dinner plate!
- Stay hydrated – Drink plenty of water! I like drinking a glass of water right after my meal to help with hydration and digestion. If you’re drinking alcohol, remember to drink even more water than you usually would!
- Take a break – Sometimes gatherings and parties can be overwhelming. It’s okay to feel anxious or tired! Take some time to rest or give yourself some space.
