Hello Winter!

The first day of Winter is this Saturday, December 21st! I know, it’s pretty dark and cold, but here are some tips to keep you healthy and moving all winter long!

  1. Work out earlier in the day – The sun sets so early now that it can be hard to work out later in the day. If you get your work out in earlier, you have more energy, and you get it out of the way!
  2. Move throughout the day – Walking, stretching, and just overall moving can help us stay energized (and warm) throughout the day!
  3. Go outside – Getting fresh air and sun can boost your energy and mood!
  4. Drink water – It’s cold, and we might not be as thirsty, but that doesn’t mean you drink less water! Drink a glass before waking up and after each meal.
  5. Get enough sleep – Sleeping 7-8 hours a night helps with recovery so be sure to get enough sleep!
  6. Practice mindfulness – Breathing exercises, meditation, and yoga are all great for practicing mindfulness and maintaining stress.
