My First Year of Private Training!

This month officially marks one year of running my own training business, and I could not be happier! I remember the anxiety and anticipation of leaving my corporate gym job to pursue my dream of private training. Even on the first day of running my business, I was terrified. However, once I trained my clients I realized how happy and free I felt. I also never realize how work emails made me so anxious until I stopped receiving them lol. It feels so great to be my own boss and run my business the way I want to.

Of course, being my own boss meant I needed to manage myself, which was challenging at times. Occasionally, I’d get distracted or procrastinate, but eventually I learned to focus on my tasks and be efficient. At the end of the day, I was working for me so all the effort and hard work was going to pay off for me!

There were highs and lows as well. I’d get anxious when clients stopped training or if I wasn’t picking up clients. There is a lot of uncertainty and unpredictability in running a business, however, I trust myself and the process. It’s about putting in the work and putting myself out there. I had to get creative with how I was getting more clients! Some other learning curves also included standing my ground and staying true to myself. Some clients wanted to negotiate my prices or our training sessions, but I stood firm and kept my prices and my training methods.

Overall there were more highs than lows. I picked up new amazing clients, made more money, created more content on social media and YouTube, and had better work life balance! I feel so blessed to do what I love and help others all while making a living. If you’ve been following me for some time now, thank you so much for all your support! I’m excited what this next year of business has in store for me!
