Time To Lock In!

Hello October and Q4! I have been seeing “The Great Lock In” all over social media, and I absolutely love this challenge. With 3 months left of 2025, this is the perfect opportunity to achieve our goals and end the year strong!

“The Great Lock In” started September 1st (I know, I’m a little late but better late than never), and it’s about staying focused on our goals, working on our self-development, and ending 2025 on a great note! Similar to last year’s winter arc, it’s about building habits and momentum now so we can bring it into the new year. I love this idea because we’re not waiting for January 1st to focus or “lock in.” It’s about getting ahead of the game and working on ourselves and our goals well before!

With 3 months of the year left, this is an ample amount of time to finish what we originally set out to accomplish or maybe even start some habits or tasks we put off. What are some goals you’d like to achieve or things you’d like to focus on before the year ends?

For me, I’d like to continue working on my business as well as self-improvement. I work hard, but I definitely have my moments where I’m inconsistent so consistency, structure, and following through are what I’d like to focus on. Being my own boss means I have to keep myself on track which can have it’s challenges. “The Great Lock In” has inspired me to avoid distractions and put in 100% effort every day. This week, I decided to dedicate certain times for social media. I log off when I’m not using it, and I can only use it when my work tasks are done. It’s my “reward” for finishing my work! That way, I have more time for my priorities and even hobbies.

To make this challenge work, I suggest writing down what your goals are. Then break it down to simpler steps or habits. Find a way to track these habits. I use my planner to write down my tasks and cross them off when they’re complete. I find it so satisfying crossing out items from my to do list! I suggest starting small or with a handful of actions versus doing too many things at once, which can be overwhelming. For example, maybe you want to work on your fitness so you start with a 15 minute walk every day or a 30 minute workout session instead of an hour 2 times a week. The idea is to start small and then build upon these habits!

With 2026 quickly approaching, let’s use this energy from “The Great Lock In” and focus on ourselves and our goals! There’s no better time than the present.
