Hi fitness friends! I can’t believe August is almost over! Before the month ends, I thought it’d be fun to list some healthy habits you can do when September starts 🙂 Just choose one and start small!
- Drink .5 fluid ounces of water per lb of body weight
- For example, if you weigh 160 lb then your goal is to drink 80 oz
- Eat vegetables with every meal
- Eat protein with every meal
- Eat more slowly
- Take 10-20 chews per bite or put your utensils down with each bite!
- Get 6k steps everyday; If you’re already doing 6k, then go for 10k or 15k!
- Sleep 30 minutes earlier
- Sleep an hour earlier
- Meditate everyday for 5-10 minutes
- Work out one extra day per week
- Work out 3x a week
- Walk for 20 minutes during your lunch break or after dinner
- Be active for 20 minutes a day
If the habit is a bit much to start, then make it simpler to do. For example, if you can’t work out 3x a week, then you can start with 1x week! You want the habit to me as simple and realistic as possible, that way you can successfully make it a habit and part of your routine! Which habit are you thinking of doing?
