Tips For Getting A Great Night’s Sleep

Hi friends! Today I wanted to talk about sleep. Sleep is probably the most underrated and neglected part of our health. It’s so crucial for our physical and mental health, hormone regulation, mood, and recovery. Here are some of my favorite things to help me fall asleep easily and stay asleep!

  1. Use a white noise machine. It helps block outside noises and sounds!
  2. Keep the room cool and dark.
  3. Use an eye mask.
  4. Spray, diffuse, or use lavender scented products before bed.
  5. Try to go to bed and wake up the same times everyday.
  6. Have a routine before you go to bed. I do the same things every night to wind down or get ready for sleep.
  7. Meditate before bed. You can also do meditations specifically for sleeping.
  8. Do a brain dump. Write out everything going on in your mind. Get it on paper and out of your head so you can sleep better!
  9. Prevent snoring by taping your mouth. It sounds and looks crazy, but I’ve been taping my mouth before I sleep, and I sleep more soundly and no longer have dry mouth!
  10. Avoid drinking water too close to bed time. I try to not drink too much water 2 hours before I sleep, and if I need to then I’ll take sips of water and do my best to drink lots of fluids during the day!
